The Gap Class was born out of frustration and love. Frustration with a system that moves students along without making sure they can actually read. And love for the kids who fall through the cracks — the teenagers sitting in high school classrooms, too embarrassed to ask for help, quietly struggling with words their teachers assume they already know.
With a background in early childhood education and years of working directly with children, I've seen firsthand what happens when the foundation isn't built properly. And I've seen what happens when someone finally shows up and says — it's not too late. Let's go back and fill in the gaps.
That's what The Gap Class is. It's not remedial. It's not charity. It's a real, honest, no-judgment resource for older learners who deserve the same shot at literacy as everyone else.

I built the resources I wish had existed. Printable guides, vocabulary kits, phonics tools — all designed for teens and young adults, not little kids. Because nobody should have to feel like a baby to learn how to read.
The system failed them. We won't.
